Grant Information

We are very excited to announce the OFCA grant process!  Beginning in 2011, OFCA will award grants to organizations advancing our state for individuals with ASD and their families!

OFCA Grant Mission Statement:

Our dream is to be a part of bringing new ideas and solutions to create a substantial and positive impact for families affected by autism in the state of Oklahoma.

OFCA is commited to stimulating good ideas and programs for persons and families affected by autism.  OFCA is also committed to assisting organizations who are participating together while giving their resources and talents to promote programs that have been established in our state to improve quality of life for persons and families affected by autism.

The Piece Walk will be the primary mechanism to fund these new grants.  Contributions to the Piece Walk, less expenses and income generated by the 5K, hereafter termed “Piece Walk Net Proceeds”, will be made available annually to organizations in Oklahoma in the focus areas of research, education, and parent groups.  In 2011, 25% of the Piece Walk Net Proceeds will be contributed to fund the Oklahoma Statewide Autism Conference.  In the event that the walk is fully funded, the OFCA board of directors may elect to fund another worthy program administered by the Oklahoma Autism Network or the State Autism Council.  75% of The Piece Walk Net Proceeds will be made available in the form of grants in 3 focus areas:  research, education and parent-led groups.
